WHAT IS ACOUSTIPLY
Acoustiply is a sound-damping composite plywood panel engineered with a cork-rubber composite core designed to reduce vibration and airborne noise. By combining traditional wood veneer construction with an acoustical damping layer, Acoustiply delivers enhanced sound control while maintaining structural integrity and machinability. It is commonly specified in marine, architectural, and transportation applications where noise reduction and vibration resistance are required.
SPECIALTY APPLICATION
Acoustiply is considered a specialty panel because it incorporates a cork-rubber composite core engineered specifically to reduce sound transmission and vibration. Unlike standard plywood, it is designed to dampen mechanical resonance and airborne noise, making it suitable for marine interiors, bulkheads, flooring substrates, and architectural applications where acoustic control is required.
FEATURES
-
Acoustical Damping Core – Integrated cork-rubber composite layer reduces airborne sound transmission and structural vibration.
-
Vibration Resistance – Engineered to absorb mechanical resonance, improving comfort in marine and interior environments.
-
Structural Performance – Maintains the strength and workability of plywood while adding sound control functionality.
-
Machinable Construction – Can be cut, routed, and fabricated using standard woodworking tools.
-
Versatile Applications – Suitable for marine interiors, bulkheads, cabinetry, flooring substrates, and transportation builds requiring noise reduction.

RECOGNIZED CERTIFICATIONS
YOU CAN TRUST
TSCA Title VI Compliant
Meets U.S. EPA requirements for formaldehyde emissions under the Toxic Substances Control Act.
FSC® Certified
Responsible sourcing that meets the standards of the Forest Stewardship Council®
CARB Phase 2 Compliant
Engineered panels tested to meet California’s strict formaldehyde emission standards.
CORE

Features a cork-rubber composite damping core engineered to absorb vibration and reduce sound transmission while maintaining panel balance and stability.
FACE

Wood veneer faces provide a smooth, workable surface suitable for finishing, laminating, or coating depending on application requirements.
ADHESIVE

Bonded using structural adhesive systems designed to securely laminate the cork-rubber core to the veneer faces for long-term durability.
EDGE

Exposed edges reveal the composite core layer between wood veneers. Edges should be sealed or protected in finished installations depending on environmental exposure.
