AUTHENTIC WOOD VENEER PANELS
Natural veneer panels are made by applying a thin slice of real wood to a stable core, offering the appearance of solid lumber with greater dimensional stability. BACKER OPTIONS
To ensure stability, wood veneers are typically applied to a backer material. We oer two standard backers: wood and paper (commonly known as fleece or fleeced paper). Each backer type has its own advantages depending on the final application and fabrication method.
Wood Backer
A wood backer adds thickness and structural integrity, ideal for applications where a more rigid or durable panel is needed. This backer supports heavier machining and helps prevent telegraphing from the substrate
Paper (Fleece) Backer
The paper (fleece) backer is thin and flexible, making it great for curved surfaces or for use in pressed panel production. It's easy to work with, especially for smaller radius applications and edge-banding needs.
EXOTICS
Exotic veneer is selected for projects that require distinctive grain patterns and color variation not typically found in domestic species. Because availability and figure can vary by harvest and region, these materials are often specified for feature applications where visual character and material uniqueness are a primary consideration.
